In de avond van woensdag 22-05-2019 landde de traumahelikopter lifeliner 4 op het terrein van het MSV motodrome voor een inzet.
Het MMT werd rond 19:11 opgeroepen voor de inzet, enkele minuten later werd ook de brandweer opgeroepen voor een ongeval met beknelling op het terrein.
Rond 19:25 landde de helikopter op het terrein van het MSV motodrome.
Het MMT personeel heeft de andere hulpdiensten tijdens het ongeval ondersteunt. Toen het slachtoffer eenmaal in de ambulance lag kon het slachtoffer in kritieke toestand onder begeleiding van de MMT arts en verpleegkundige met spoedtransport worden overgebracht naar het UMCG.
De lifeliner 4 steeg om 20:15 weer op vanuit Emmer-Compascuum en vloog met 1POB (alleen de piloot) naar het UMCG.
Ondanks de massale inzet van de hulpdiensten overleed het slachtoffer de volgende ochtend aan zijn verwondingen.
